African women in leadership diaspora conference set to hold in Atlanta

Ebun Francis || The African Women in Leadership Organisation (AWOL), has concluded arrangement for this season’s African Women in Leadership Diaspora Conference scheduled for  Atlanta USA  from August 24 – 25.
The two-day event will hold at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter and will feature paper presentations, panel discussions, awards gala, exhibition, leadership workshop, tours, and others.
There is a line-up of remarkable facilitators. There are panel discussions on the following topics: ‘Practical Solutions to become more involved in advancing Women-Leadership’ and ‘Creating Thriving Atmospheres for Working Relationships Among Women’, led by male and female panelists respectively.
The female panelists are Kristina Laferne Roberts (Zane) New York Times best-selling Author, Dr. Gloria Herndon; Founder/President GB Group Global, Donna McGowan; Founder/CEO – Expanding Leaders Horizons NOW/AWLO Houston Texas Coordinator & Dr. Sheila Robinson; Owner and Publisher of Diversity Woman Magazine while the male panelists will feature, Dr. Idee Okpok; Motivational Speaker, Ambassador Utchay Odims; United Nations Youth Ambassador, Mr. Ubong King; CEO – PPSL/ motivational Speaker., and Dr. Thomas Mensah -Fiber Optics/Nanotechnology inventor, USA.
The 25th of August is a full day conference witnessing paper-presentations by Julie Okah-Donli; Director General of NAPTIP, Lawyer and Policy Maker, Princess Moradeun Ogunlana; Business Mogul, and Dr. Diane Moore-Eubank; Finance Expert & Mompreneur. Dr. Violet Arene’s Leadership Workshop is on ‘The Power of Purpose Driven Leadership’, and the Conference Moderator is Prof. Uduak Archibong (MBE); Professor of Diversity, University of Bradford UK.
There will also be keynote addresses by Dr. Karmetria Dunham Burton; Director, Supplier Diversity for Delta Airlines and Founder of the ‘Paint Your Lips Red’ movement and Maureen Broderick is the Founder/CEO WorldWideWomen.
 The President and Founder of the organization; Hon. Elisha Attai explained the need for the African Women in Leadership Diaspora Conference. He recalled that in the organization’s early days, conferences only held in Africa, but women of African descent from other continents began requesting for inclusion.
African Women in Leadership Conference is holding for the fourth time in the diaspora.
This season’s  African women in Leadership Diaspora Conference will be chaired by Senator Donzella James; Senator of the State of Georgia, and is supported by American Nigerian International Chamber of Commerce, International Women’s Think Tank and The State of Georgia. It will be declared open by the mother of the day, and AWLO BOT Chairperson, Chief Opral Benson.
This conference will also witness the official unveiling of the AWLO USA headquarters in Atlanta Georgia, exclusive tours, and live performances by D’lyte,  the Obus & the Prodigy.
