Boko Haram gunmen have attacked Jiddari Polo community, near Maiduguri, the capital of Bornu State. Residents of the Community are said to have fled to neighbouring communities.
The Nigerian Army has, however, repelled the attack as at the time of this report.
There is tension in Maiduguri following the attack.
A resident of the town was quoted to have said, “We have been indoors for the past two hours. Sounds of gunshot every where. We can’t even go out to break our fast.”
