Monday’s meeting with Obi is the second time Wike met with the LP presidential candidate following their earlier meeting in July.

Just like the previous meeting, the motive for the latest meeting was not made public by either of the politicians.

The Rivers Governor has been meeting with top politicians recently, especially those from other political divides following his disagreement with the PDP hierarchy over their handling of the party’s presidential primary which he lost to Atiku Abubakar.

He has been hosting top opposition political figures, fuelling speculations he may not work for the PDP in the 2023 presidential elections.
