CBP daily financial markets update

The Nigerian Stock Exchange All Share Index (NSE ASI) and the Market Capitalization decreased by 0.02%, while the Year-to-Date return stood at 37.42%. The All Share Index closed at 36,930.83 against the previous close of 36,939.59 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦12.782 trillion against previous close of ₦12.785 trillion. Volume traded increased by 29.21% from 361.052 million to 466.522 million, while the total value of stock traded decreased by 21.17% from ₦3.682 billion to ₦2.903 billion in 4,274 deals.

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 398.255 million shares exchanged for ₦1.403 billion. Conglomerates came next with 29.79 million shares traded for ₦0.088 billion, Consumer Goods, Services, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.

Jaizbank, FBNH, Transcorp, Afrinsure, and Diamondbnk were the most active stocks by volume. Diamondbnk, Ucap, Learnafrca, Fidelitybk, and Uac-Prop emerged the highest price gainers on the chart, while Champion, Total, Airservice, Lawunion, and Honyflour topped the losers chart.
