( UPDATED) Suspected Fulani herdsmen kill two village heads in Adamawa

Two village heads were killed on Monday and many injured when Gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen launched an attack in Lawaru and Dong in Demsa local government area of Adamawa State.

Local residents confirmed to newsmen that the Village Heads of Lawaru and Dong communities in Demsa Local Government area lost their lives in the Monday early morning attack.

The chairman of neighbouring Numan Local government Area also confirmed the attack explains that the attackers set people’s homes ablaze.

AdamawaState has been in the news of late following numerous incidents of violence by Boko Haram insurgent and other armed groups.

Four police officers were killed last Friday in Numan while repelling an attack by suspected armed herdsmen.
