Gov Emmanuel’s performance guarantees his second term says Party Chieftain.

Tony Okoh || A Chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in, Akwa Ibom State, Engr. Uwem Okoko has said Governor Udom Emmanuel’s performance in the state has made his second term election an easy task.

Okoko who stated this in an interview with newsmen yesterday in Uyo, said with the unprecedented infrastructural development throughout the 31 local governments in the state, convincing voters to vote the governor for second term will be less stressful.

“Governor Emmanuel is a great leader who does not think about the next election, he thinks about the next generation of Akwa Ibom people. The massive infrastructural development is for the future generation of the people. His performance has qualified him for the second term. Our job as his faithful followers during the electioneering campaign will be very easy”.

“In all the Local Government Areas in the state, Governor Emmanuel has touched lives. Places like Ini, Oron, and others abandoned for years now have roads. No governor would have done this considering the lean resources of the state since 2015.

Engr. Okoko who is the Managing Director of Hensek Integrated Services Limited, Commended the state governor for engaging indigenous contractors in handling most of the road contracts in the state.

He said most of the roads constructed in the state are awarded by the state government to indigenous contractors who have performed above average.

This has further created the much needed youth employment in the state as the contractors use indigenous Engineers, Surveyors, and artisans in constructing most of  the roads in Akwa Ibom.

“We are from this state, this is our government and our governor, the standard of work is to make him succeed. We are his supporters. Having seen his vision for the state as people oriented, as business men, we have no option than to key in and support him to succeed.

Speaking on provision of social services being provided by his firm to the people, he said, “Hensek didn’t get money from the sky, the money belong to the people of Akwa Ibom State. The government pays me with tax payer’s money so I have to give back to the people through various empowerment programmes”.
