Senate, Reps to hold joint session

The Nigerian Senate and House of Representatives will hold a joint closed session at the Reps chamber this Tuesday.

The Speaker House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, conveyed the news to members of the house at noon on Tuesday.

The Senate had earlier moved into a closed session in preparation for the joint session.

Dogara did not make the agenda for the session public but it is believed that it will address the ongoing face-off between the executive and some members of the national assembly.

Sources familiar with national assembly politics informed this publication that a meeting of members of the two chambers took place at an undisclosed location in Abuja on Monday night where strategies to confront the face off were discussed.
