The former Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Barnabas Gemade has announced his defection from the PDP to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Gemade, who represents Benue East in the Senate, was one of the 14 All Progressives Congress (APC) Senators, who defected to the PDP a few weeks ago.
Senator Gemade said he decided to decamp to SDP after being betrayed by Governor over Benue North East senatorial ticket.
Both Ortom and Benue state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were yet to respond to Gemade’s defection as at the time of filing this report.
