Prof. Richard Iyiola Akindele, a former lecturer in the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, standing trial for demanding sex to pass one of his students, Monica Osagie, has pleaded guilty to the charges preferred against him.
The ‘sex for mark’ professor on Monday changed his plea from ‘not guilty’ to ‘guilty’ when the case came up for hearing.
The prosecutor, Mr. Shogunle Adenekan, informed the court that all parties in the matter had reached an agreement and pleaded for a suspended sentence for the disgraced professor.
