The police on Monday sealed off the office of suspended chief justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen.
The police took control of Onnoghen’s office located at the supreme court premises under the cover of darkness.
Onnoghen was suspended on Friday by President Muhammadu Buhari despite rulings from a high court, industrial court and the court of appeal, for the CCT to stay proceedings in the case against the CJN.
The media aide to Onnoghen, Awusam Bassey, confirmed the ejection of staff and sealing off of the office to newsmen on Monday.
When asked about the development, he said, “It’s true, it’s true.”
The police command has not confirmed the development at the time of this report.
