JUST IN: INEC set to postpone presidential election by one week

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is poised to postpone Nigeria’s Presidential Election a few hours before the commencement of voting.

Members of the commission have been in an emergency meeting for marathon hours and are expected to agree on a new date for the Presidential election.

According to a source at the meeting ”8 am today is certainly out. Next week Saturday is the most likely date.”

The electoral umpire is expected to issue a statement on the development in the coming minutes.
