Atiku not destined to rule Nigeria, says Oshiomhole

The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole on Thursday said Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was never destined to rule Nigeria.

The former Edo state governor stated this at a press conference while reacting to the Peoples Democratic Party candidate’s rejection of the election result.

Oshiomhole said, “It borders on arrogance that our future is tied on his presidency. Atiku is destined never to be president of Nigeria.”

“Leadership is about character. Atiku’s desperation is so obvious, so desperate that in 2003, he challenged his own boss, President Olusegun Obasanjo, not to do a second term.”

According to Oshiomhole, Saturday’s election “was a referendum between ‘integrity’ and ‘no integrity’ and Nigerians have made their choice”.

Atiku’s fourth attempt at the presidency was dashed following the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of last Saturday’s poll by INEC.

Atiku has since rejected the outcome of the election, describing it as a fraud.
