JUST IN: Courts disqualifies Kano PDP guber aspirant

A federal high court in Kano state, presided over by Justice Leis Allagoa, on Monday nullified the candidature of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in the state, Abba Yusuf.

Justice Allagoa ruled that the PDP did not conduct governorship primary election in Kano.

But Bashir Yusuf, counsel to the PDP, said the verdict did not affect the candidate but the party.

Ibrahim Al- Amin, a PDP gubernatorial aspirant had approached the court, challenging the process that produced Yusuf as flagbearer of the party in Kano.
