The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday night declared Bala Mohammed, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as winner of the Bauchi state governorship election.
He defeated Mohammed Abubakar, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and incumbent governor.
Mohammed polled a total of 515,113 votes to defeat Gov. Abubakar who got 500,625 votes.
The pending result of Tafawa Balewa, following Monday’s vacation of a court order, was regenerated, collated and announced at the INEC head office in the state on Monday night.
