Police arrest one of the robbers who killed six persons in Ondo bank raid

Six people were killed and many injured when armed robbers raided a new generation commercial bank in Ido-Ani community in Ose local government area of Ondo state on Monday afternoon.

The armed men who invaded the bank around 2:30pm, used dynamites to force the security doors open before attacking customers and bank workers.

Eyewitness account said four persons were killed at the ATM point while two bank workers were shot dead inside the banking hall.

A police inspector is believed to one the persons killed during the operation.

Some of the persons who sustained injuries in the attack are being treated at Ido-Ani General Hospital.

Luck, however, ran out for one of the suspects as he was arrested by soldiers as he tried to escape.
