No change in Nigeria’s exchange rate structure- CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria on Wednesday denied reports in some sections of the media that it has floated the country’s currency, the naira.

In a statement sent to Alabingo.com, the apex bank’s Director, Corporate Communicatio, Isaac Okorafor said there has been no change in the country’s exchange rate structure and the exchange rate remains stable.

Okorafor said, ” There has been no change in Nigeria’s exchange rate structure. The CBN has not floated the naira, the exchange rate remains stable”.

Okorafor went on to inform Nigerians that speculations and reports, on the contrary, are false.
