Trump becomes first US president to visit North Korea

U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday became the first US president to ever set foot into North Korea.

The US president met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for the third time amid hopes for new talks at ending North Korea’s nuclear programs.

Trump met Kim on the southern side of the border village of Panmunjom in the Demilitarised Zone separating the two Koreas.

Trump who extended an invitation to Kim Jong Un via Twitter after the G20 meeting in Japan, briefly crossed the inter-Korean military border into the North.
