A long-time friend and associate of Imo state governor, Emeka Ihedioha, Chika Odionyenma, one of the persons on FBI’s 77-man list of suspected Nigerian fraudsters, has gone into hiding.

Odionyenma who many sources confirmed contributed heavily in the election efforts of Ihedioha, was recently appointed into the inauguration committee of the governor.

A copy of the letter on the appointment of Odionyenma into the committee personally signed by the governor read, “Following my successful declaration as Governor-elect of Imo State by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC and my subsequent receipt of certificate of return thereof, I have duly constituted an inauguration planning and handover committee, with the responsibility of liaising with the existing government to ensure a smooth handover of power to our party on 29th May, 2019,” the letter read.

“While recognizing your sacrifice, accept my congratulations.”

Odionyenma, who hails from Amakaohia-Uratta, Owerri north local government area of Imo state has since pulled down all his known social media accounts and gone into hiding.

Ihedioha, is, however, not the only politician exposed to the fraudsters.

A picture of Festus Keyamo, minister of state for Niger Delta, has also emerged with Jerry Ikogho, one of the arrested suspects.
