Apostle Suleman considering standing as surety for Sowore

The founder of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman on Monday said he is considering standing as surety for Omoyele Sowore, convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, despite being hurt in the past by the jailed activist.

Suleman, who made the disclosure via his official Twitter handle @APOSTLESULEMAN explained that he is worried by the inability of Sowore to meet his bail conditions.

He tweeted, “Am really worried that nobody is ready to stand surety for @YeleSowore.. yes he has hurt alot of people, me inclusive. But do we focus on that and let his rot where he is wvwn if he caused it in a situation like this what will christ do?.am ‘considering’ standing bail for him…”

It will be recalled that Sowore was earlier granted bail of N100 million with two sureties in like sum, by a federal high court in Abuja with the sureties required to deposit original documents of those properties in the court registry and a deposit N50 million with the court by one of them.

But Femi Falana, Sowore’s counsel, asked the court for a variation to the bail conditions following their inability to meet the bail conditions.

The bail conditions was subsequently reviewed but Sowore who has been in DSS custody since August is yet to meet the reviewed bail conditions.
