Nigeria confirms 22 new Covid-19 cases

Chidi Damuel| Nigeria on Wednesday night confirmed 22 new cases of the highly contagious Covid-19, bringing to 276 the number of infections in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease control gave the update via its verified Twitter handle.

According to the health agency, Lagos recorded 15 new cases, while the FCT has four. Bauchi recorded 2 and one in Edo.

The Tweet read, ”Twenty-two new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCT, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo

As at 09:00pm 8th April, there are 276 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fourty-four have been discharged with six deaths”.
