UPDATED: Nigeria confirms 13 new COVID-19 cases as the infection spreads to 19 states

Chidi Samuel| Nigeria has confirmed thirteen new cases of the ravaging coronavirus, bringing the country’s toll to 318 spread across 19 states.

The Nigeria Centre For Disesase Control in a Tweet on Saturday said the new cases were reported in Lagos, Delta and Kano states.

The tweet read, ”13 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported; 11 in Lagos, 1 in Delta & 1 in Kano.”

”As at 9:30 pm 11th April, there are 318 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 70 have been discharged with 10 deaths.”

Lagos currently has the highest number of Covid-19 cases with 174 out of a total of 318 infections, as well as the highest number of recoveries, with 50 out of the 70 discharged cases.
