Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 146 new COVID-19 cases bringing the country’s toll 4787.
The new infections according to a Tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control were recorded in Lagos 56, Kano 27, Kwara 10 and Edo 9.
Other cases were recorded in Bauchi 8, Yobe 7, Kebbi 4, Oyo 4, Katsina and Niger with three cases each.
Plateau, Bornu and Sokoto recorded 2 infections each while Gombe, Enugu, Ebonyi, Ogun, FCT and Rivers had one case each.
According to the health agency, Nigeria so far, has recorded 4787 c0nfirmed cases of the hihly contagious virus with 158 deaths and 959 atients discharged across the country.

-Dubai returnee dies from Coronavirus
Meanwhile, one of the Nigerians that the federal government evacuated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has died from coronavirus related complications.
Lagos state health commissioner, Akin Abayomi, who made the disclosure in a tweet on Tuesday night, said the deceased, who had “severe underlying health condition.”
Abayomi once again appealed to residents of Lagos to be cautious despite the easing of the lockdown President Muhammadu Buhari ordered to limit the spread of COVID-19.
A total of 256 Nigerians who were stranded in Dubai as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic were evacuated on Wednesday.
They are currently under quarantine in Ikeja and Lekki areas of Lagos.
