By our reporter| The senior pastor of Trinity House Church in Lagos, Itua Ighodalo, on Sunday, presided over a church member’s funeral, hours after Ibidun, his wife, died in her sleep.
The former beauty queen died in her sleep at a hotel room in Port Harcourt from a suspected heart attack.
But in a video clip that surfaced on social media platforms late Sunday, Pastor Itua addressed an audience in what appeared to be a condolence service speaking about life.
In the video, the cleric said he received a phone call that “shattered his life” at around 2am on Sunday.
He said, “For the past 72 and 84 hours, everywhere tensed, confused, frightening, and disturbing but here we are today. I mean, if they had told us last week Sunday that we will be here to celebrate Ayodeji’s life, we’ll say it’s not possible.”
“But here we are right now and here he is. And of course, a lot of you know that I really shouldn’t be here but that’s how life is. So, this morning, I received a call that shattered my life but life must go on.”
