Obasanjo: God can call me to heaven when I’m above 100 years

By our reporter| Elder statesman and former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has said he will like to live above 100 years.

Obasanjo who made the disclosure on Tuesday during the first anniversary of Sabur Bakare, agura of Gbagura, Egbaland, Ogun state, said he would be present to celebrate Bakare’s 20th anniversary on the throne.

The former President reportedly clocked 83 years in March.

According to the Punch, Obasanjo said when he has lived over 100 years, if it pleases God, “He can call me to come and meet Him in heaven”.

He said, “I will be here to celebrate your 20 years anniversary with you whether I am invited or not.”

“By the time I also partake in celebrating your 20th anniversary with you, if God wishes, He can call me to come and meet Him in heaven because I know by that time, I will be above 100 or more.”

The two time Nigerian president, who in 2017 said that an astrologer in India told him he would live long, confessed during his 80th birthday that he does not know his true age.

According to him, his illiterate mother only told him that he was born on a market day.
