Nigeria confirms 126 new COVID-19 cases

Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Wednesday confirmed 126 new cases of the novel coronavirus, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has said.

In a Tweet via its verified Twitter handle, the health agency said the new infections were reporterd in 16 states and the FCT.

According to the data, the FCT recorded 37 new infections, followed by Lagos with -27, Plateau -9 , Kaduna -7, Abia-6, Gombe -6, and Ondo-6.

Other states with new infections include, Imo -5, Delta-2, Ekiti-2, Kwara-2, Bauchi, Katsina, Kano, Yobe, and Katsina recorded 1 case each.

The NCDC further confirmed that so far 56,604 cases of the highly contagious has been recorded in the country with 47,872 recoveries and 1,091 deaths.
