Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Thursday confirmed 153 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the counyry’s case load to 59, 001.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in a statement via its verified Twitter handle, said 50,452 persons have recovered from the disease with 1,112 deaths recorded.
The health agency further revealed tha Thursday’s infections were recorded in 14 states and the FCT with Lagos reporting 81 new cases followed by Rivers -21, and the FCT -11.
Other states with new infections include, Ogun -8, Kaduna -7, Oyo -6, Akwa Ibom -5, Osun -3, Katsina -3, Edo -2, Ebonyi -2, Nasarawa -2, Plateau -1, and Kano -1.
