Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Saturday confirmed 160 new coronavirus infections and one death.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) which made the disclosure in a statement via its verified Twitter handle, said the new cases were reported from 13 states and the FCT.
According to the health agency, Rivers recorded 42 new cases, followed by Lagos -32, and Plateau -21.
Other states with nwe infections include, FCT -18, Kaduna -14, Ogun -11, Katsina -10, Kwara -3, Ondo -3, Imo -3, Anambra -1, Abia -1, and Oyo -1.
The NCDC further noted that so far, Nigeria have 59,287 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, with 50,718 recoveries and 1,113 deaths.
