Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Friday confirmed 170 new cases of the novel coronavirus.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control which made the disclosure in a statement via its verified Twitter handle, said the new infections were recorded in eleven states and the FCT with Lagos leading other states with 106 new cases.
Other states with new infections include, FCT-25, Oyo-14
Edo-7, Kaduna-7, Ogun-4, Bauchi-2, Benue-2, Kano-1,
Osun-1, and Rivers-1.
According to the NCDC, Nigeria has so far recorded 62,691 confirmed cases of the highly contagious virus with 58,430 recoveries and 1,144 deaths.
