Lai Mohammed calls for sanction on CNN over one-dimensional report on #EndSARS protests

By our reporter|The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed on Thursday described the CNN report on the Lekki shooting by soldiers of the Nigerian army as one-dimensional and lacking in balance.

Mohammed who was reacting to an investigative report on the October 20 Lekki shootings by US-based media organisation, validated a report done by the BBC, which he claimed was based more on facts.

While referring to previous reports done by the network which lacked balance, the minister insisted that the military fired blank bullets into the air and not at the crowd.

According to the minister, the CNN report conveniently excluded the looting, violence by citizens, 269 private facilities burnt and looted, 243 govt facilities vandalised.
