By our reporter| The US-based International news broadcaster CNN on Thursday said it stands by its investigation into the October 20 shooting by the army at #ENDSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate.
The Cable Network’s assertion was in response to Thursday’s reaction by Nigeria’s minister of information minister Lai Mohammed who described the foreign medias report as one dimensional and caled for sanction on CNN.
The report which the network said was based on testimony from dozens of witnesses, and photos and video obtained and geolocated, painted a picture of how members of the Nigerian army and the police shot at the crowd, killing at least one person and wounding dozens more.
“Our reporting was carefully and meticulously researched, and we stand by it,” said a spokesperson for the outlet.
