Chidi Samuel| For the fourth day running, Nigeria’s coronavirus cases has continued on its upward trend as the country confirmed 550 new cases on Tuesday.
The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control which made the disclosure in a statement via its verified Twitter handle late on Tuesday night said the new infections were recorded in 17 states and the FCT.
According to the update by the health agency, Lagos recorded 219 new cases, followed by FCT-168, Kaduna-52, Kwara-19,
Kano-15, and Rivers-15.
Other states with new infections include, Sokoto-10, Enugu-9,
Gombe-8, Plateau-7, Osun-7, Anambra-5, Oyo-5, Jigawa-4,
Ogun-4, Bauchi-2, and Edo-1.
According to the NCDC, Nigeria so far has 70,195 confirmed
cases of the novel coronavirus with 65,110 recoveries and, 1,182 deaths.
