Nigeria confirms 655 new cases of #COVID19 with eleven deaths

Chidi Samuel| Nigeria on Wednesday confirmed 655 new cases of #COVID19 with eleven deaths recorded across the country.

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control in a statement late on Wednesday night said the new cases were recorded in 21 states and the FCT.

According to the update, Lagos recorded 240 new cases, followed by Ogun-88, Rivers-56, FCT-51, Kaduna-43, Kano-25, Plateau-21, Taraba-19, Edo-17, Abia15, and Delta-13.

Other states with new infections include, Nasarawa-11, Akwa Ibom-10, Kwara-10, Oyo-10, Kebbi-9, Borno-5, Bayelsa-4, Gombe-4, Ekiti-2, and Osun-2.

The NCDC further noted that Nigeria currently has 153,842 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, with 130,818 recoveries and 1,885 deaths.
