Nigeria’s COVID-19 numbers in decline with 195 new cases, 10 deaths.

Chidi Samuel| The decline in the number of new COVID-19 cases continued on Saturday with195 new cases with ten deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control in a statement via its verified Twitter handle said the new cases were recorded in 17 states and the FCT.

According to the update, Lagos recorded 70 new cases, followed by Kaduna-22, Abia-20, Edo-18, Kano-10, and Akwa Ibom-9.

Other states that reported new infections include, Rivers-7, FCT-7, Borno-6, Bauchi-5, Osun-5, Oyo-5, Plateau-3, Ekiti-3, Niger-2, Ogun-2, and Zamfara-1.

The health agency further noted that so far, Nigeria has 158,237 confirmed cases of the highly contagious virus, with 137,645 recoveries and 1,964 deaths.
