Chidi Tony/ Political stakeholders in Akwa Ibom State have adopted the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Rev Umo Enoh as their preferred choice for the office of the Governor in 2023.
At a meeting held at the Government House in Uyo on Sunday, a former Governor of the State, Arch. Victor Attah presented Pastor Umo Enoh to the forum as a humble and sincere man with capacity to lead the state.
This was corroborated by the Oku Ibom Ibibio and Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Etuk who spoke glowingly about the revered Clergy.
The Stakeholders included former deputy Governor Etim Okpoyo, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke, Leader of Eket Senatorial District, Chief Nduese Essien, Senator Effiong Bob, Senator Alloy Etok, among others
Prayers to seal the nomination were offered by some fathers of faith led by former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria,CAN, Dr. Sunday Mbang and Rev Uma Ukpai.
Rev Eno in an emotion ladened voice appreciated the stakeholders for nominating him, saying he was humbled to be so recognised.
