Hilton hotel owner, Adedoyin denied bail over murder of OAU student

By our reporter| The bail applications filed for Rahmon Adedoyin, the owner of Hilton hotel and resort, and six other defendants in the murder case of Timothy Adegoke, a Master’s student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife was on Monday denied by an Osun state high court in Osogbo.

The presiding judge and chief judge of the state, justice Adepele in her ruling refused their bail applications based on the nature of the case, and on the ground that the correctional center has all necessary facilities to cater for those with “not critical” medical conditions.

Adedoyin is charged with an attempted felony, conspiracy, unlawful interference with Adegoke’s corpse, tampering with the hotel’s receipt and CCTV camera with the intent to destroy evidence that would prove that the victim visited the hotel, among others.

Adedoyin and six others arrested in connection with the death of Timothy Adegoke were arraigned and remanded last Friday for today’s ruling on their bail applications.
