Our 1.8 million votes belong to Emmanuel, Umo Eno – A’ibom traders

Chidi Tony| Traders and Artisans in Akwa Ibom state have unanimously thrown their weight behind the presidential aspiration of Governor Udom Emmanuel and governorship bid of Pastor Umo Eno.
The Traders also pledge to support their campaigns with publicity and awareness materials to the tune of #500 million.
Speaking on behalf of the traders on the occasion of Nigerian Traders Summit and Trade Exposition yesterday at Itam Market Uyo Akwa Ibom state, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Trade and Market Matters Akparawa Idoreyin Raphael said the traders will encourage the duo because of their outstanding performances in public service.
According to him, “We will support Udom Emmanuel’s presidential campaign with several printed souvenirs. We have declared Gov. Emmanuel very capable to govern Nigeria”.
“We, traders with over 1.8 million votes are endorsing Pastor Umo Eno as the next Governor. We have heard stories of Governor’s battling to defend how many months’ salaries they owe workers, one actually said he was owing only 13 not 24 months as speculated. But in Akwa Ibom State, our Governor pays as at when due and we are sending him to presidency to solve the problems of Nigeria and Umo Eno as Governor to continue the good work in the state”.
He further stated that Pastor Umo Eno to them is a done deal, “We are supporting Umo Eno because he has employed over 1,000 people as a private entrepreneur.
“Every trader in Akwa Ibom is rooting for Umo Eno as the next Governor and Udom Emmanuel as the next president. we are printing all their souvenirs. We will celebrate Udom Emmanuel next year as the president of Nigeria and our own a trader, Pastor Umo Eno as the next Governor. Take this message to the world. We want our women to wear customized Aprons bearing the message of Udom and Umo Eno henceforth”.
Akparawa Rapheal further highlighted, “In 2015, a certain political party came to us, at that time we were buying a bag of rice at N5k and told us we will buy at N2k if elected but today a bag of rice is between N30k and N32k. In 2015 we buy 1dollar at N165 and they promised us N1 to $1 dollar but today a dollar is N590. In 2015, we buy petrol at N65 and they said it will be sold at N45 but today it is sold at N200. Nigerians from diverse background are now begging us to release Governor Emmanuel to rule Nigeria”.
Recounting the achievements of the Governor, he posited, “The Ibom Air Emmanuel floated is the best Airline in the whole Africa. He established international links to bring industries to Akwa Ibom State among many projects”.
He maintained that Nigerians are clamoring for   Governor Emmanuel’s services which prompted the Berekete family human rights radio to purchase his presidential form stressing that N500 million have been earmarked to further support the project.
“What you are seeing is from our heart. Today’s the last day of our summit and sincerely speaking the Governor has done well with the traders, by planning to hand over the leadership of the state to a trader Mr. Umo Eno we are happy with that the Governor” he opined.
The traders used the occasion to express gratitude to the governor for the #2 billion interest free loan, appointment of traders into his cabinet, and the hopeful handing over Government to a trader Pastor Umo Eno in 2023.
