Some governors working to tear APC apart – Adamu

By our reporter| The National Chairman of the ruling All Congress Party (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu on Wednesday alleged that some governors elected on the party’s platform are behind the crisis rocking the party.

Adamu, who made the allegation in his opening remarks at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the APC in Abuja, said some APC governors were working to tear the party apart.

According to the recently elected chairman of the ruling party, as leaders of the party in their states, governors should work towards the development of the party.

He said the party’s constitution recognises governors as the leaders of the party in their states, there is no provision for former governors.

The APC Chairman laid emphasis on the fact that there is no dual leadership in the states.

Stakeholders who attended Wednesday’s NEC meeting include, President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, and Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila.
