By our reporter| Three Governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday met with Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike at his private residence in Port Harcourt, the state capital for a closed-door meeting.
The Governors are Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, and Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State.
The details of the closed-door meeting is not yet known but it may not be unconnected with the 2023 presidential election.
Wike, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), finished behind Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the main opposition party during the party’s presidential primaries in Abuja last month.

He was also in line to become the vice-presidential candidate of the PDP but lost out to his Delta state counterpart, Ifeanyi Okowa.
The development did not go down well with Wike and his supporters as there are speculations the Rivers State Governor will not support the Atiku/Okowa ticket.
Labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi last month visited Governor Wike at his residence. The details of the meeting were not made published but Obi later issued a statement explaining that they discussed issues of vital national interest.
