Tinubu sworn in as Nigeria’s President

Our reporter/ Bola Ahmed Tinubu was on Monday administered with the oath of office by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola.

The Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, was earlier administered the oath of office.

Tinubu was sworn-in after Kashim Shettima, took his oath of office.

Tinubu was declared winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after defeating the likes of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.
