Lagos govt shuts Alaba International Market

Our reporter/ The Lagos State Government on Monday sealed the Alaba International Market over what it termed poor waste disposal practices among others.

In a statement via X formerly known as Twitter, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment Tokunbo Wahab early on Monday said that Alaba International Market, Ojo has been sealed up for poor waste disposal practices, failure to pay their waste bills and gross environmental sanitation offences.

“Alaba International Market, Ojo has been sealed up for poor waste disposal practices, failure to pay their waste bills, and gross environmental sanitation offences,” he wrote on X.
