Emefiele freed from Kuje prison

Our reporter/ Former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele has been released from the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja after meeting his bail conditions.

Adamu Duza, spokesperson for the centre, who confirmed the development said Emefiele was released on Friday, December 22.

Emefiele, who was suspended by president Tinubu on assumption of office before his subsequent resignation, is being prosecuted by the federal government for alleged procurement fraud.
