The commissioners had, in November last year, tendered their resignation letters amid the face-off between Fubara and his predecessor, former Governor Nyesom Wike, now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

However, Fubara, a few days ago, resubmitted the names of the nine nominees to the State House of Assembly for clearance in line with the peace agreement brokered by President Bola Tinubu.

During plenary on Wednesday, the former commissioners were asked to take ‘a bow and leave’ the chamber.
