My open letter to Peter Obi, a cat with nine lives

By Fr. Drogba

My beloved Peter Obi, I understand what you may be passing through at the moment, after your last attack at Edo State. It shows how rotten the system has become.

I was there in 2003, when your mandate was stolen after the election, and you were able to reclaim it by God’s grace after 3 years. You were impeached as a Governor and you were reinstated again after some months. You were chased out office while still serving your tenure through a governorship election in 2011 that was not supposed to be held in Anambra State, but you were again reinstated, and you served your two tenures to the end.

These are clear evidences that your road to political success has never been easy and will never be easy. So, don’t be afraid. You are not alone. We are with you.

We all saw it played out in the 2023 election. If not for your good and calm personality that shuns violence, the youths were ready to cause a serious revolution in Nigeria. They waited for you to give the order, but you chose the path of peace and justice. It is indeed noble. It is an unpopular path, but it is a path for men who fear God and love their brothers. HISTORY will never forget you.Our God will vindicate you. We are very proud of you. Your family is a priestly family. You are blessed already.

Though 2027 looks hopeless with regard to the election, and a smooth win for APC and the City Boy seem very certain, due to the fact that the City Boy is ready to do anything whatsoever, as he did in 2023, to win the election; nevertheless, we shall never give up. Even in this seemingly impossible situation, we believe that God will turn the table around. It will not be business as usual. They had their way when we thought it was ours; now they thought it is theirs, we shall have it. 2027 will go down in the history of Nigeria as a point departure, a point of saying goodbye to the corruption and old structures of rascality. We are not leaving any stone unturned physically, intellectually, Spiritually and politically.

Peter, the Rock of Nigeria, Okwute Ndi Igbo, move on. The God that enabled you to reach this stage politically, will guide your path. You will surely succeed politically. One day, the world will stand still to see you mounting the seat of Aso Rock and be the Rock which you are. You are an illustrious son of Igbo tribe. The sky is your starting point. Don’t give up my dear because you are a rock. God is at your side. You are unstoppable.
