William Kumuyi, general superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, arrived in Abuja on Wednesday for the 2026 edition of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi.
The crusade is expected to attract thousands of participants from across Nigeria and beyond.
Speaking with journalists on arrival at the domestic wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Mr Kumuyi attributed the crusade’s impact over the past six years to divine intervention rather than human effort.
Responding to questions about GCK’s achievements across different countries, he said the focus should be on what God has accomplished through the crusade rather than on human achievements.
“We are human beings, and when we pray, we pray with faith and confidence, but we are not the ones who answer prayers. The answers come from God.
“We have seen lives transformed, young people redirected to the right path, people battling mental health challenges and drug addiction restored, families reunited, and the sick healed,” he said.
Mr Kumuyi said testimonies of healing had come from people suffering from various ailments, including terminal illnesses, adding that the impact of the crusade extended beyond Nigeria to other parts of Africa and the world.
According to him, the outreach has reached countries across Asia, Africa, North and South America, among other regions.
“As I said, this is God at work. It is not a one-man show. We are planning big, aiming big and trusting God to provide solutions to the many challenges confronting the world,” he said.
Speaking on expectations for the Abuja edition of the crusade, which is expected to attract thousands of participants, including policymakers and government officials, Mr Kumuyi said the message would centre on transformation and collective responsibility.
He expressed optimism that leaders and policymakers would be inspired to embrace ideas that promote national development.
“Sometimes, it is not what you say that people hear, but we are trusting God to make our leaders and policymakers hear what they need to hear.
“It is not just about hearing; God will help them to act on what we are all hearing together so that we can make our nation, Africa and the world a better place to live. God can do it, and we believe He will do it,” he said.
The crusade will hold from June 24 to June 29.
Sessions on Wednesday and Thursday will take place at the Deeper Life Bible Church Headquarters in Kado, Abuja, while the main meetings from June 26 to June 29 will be held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, with daily sessions beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The programme will feature youth- and professional-focused sessions and will be streamed across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Australia.
Organisers said the outreach is aimed at promoting spiritual renewal, salvation and positive transformation amid prevailing social and economic challenges.
