Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Buhari returned to the country on Thursday to await the expected return of her husband from The United Kingdom.
Aisha left Nigeria earlier in July to spend time with the ailing President who left the country in May to seek medical help for an undisclosed illness.
The director of information to the first lady, Suileman Haruna, confirmed her return to the country.
“Yes. I can confirm that Her Excellency is back. She returned to the country this morning and proceeded to Owerri for a function organised by the state governor’s wife,” he said.
The first lady later attended the “annual August meeting” organised by the wife of the governor, at Owerri, the Imo state capital on Thursday.
