Resident doctors suspend strike for two weeks

Ebun Francis || The National Association of Resident Doctors, NARD on Thursday suspended the 10 days nationwide industrial action it embarked on September 4, 2017.

The suspension of the strike is for an initial period of two weeks to enable the doctors monitor the level of compliance of the federal government in the implementation of the agreement they reached.

According to Segun Olaopa, NARD UCH chapter, “the decision was reached following appeals from the public that the doctors should give the federal government more time to meet their demands”

The striking doctors appealed to members of the public to appreciate that they are fighting for the improvement of the overall medical facilities in the country.
