(Updated) Silence trail Kachikwu’s meeting with Buhari

Ebun Francis || The much anticipated meeting between the minister of state for petroleum resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu and President Muhammadu Buhari took place at the Aso Rock villa office of the President on Friday.

As Alabingo.com earlier predicted, the details of the meeting which lasted for about one hour, forty five minutes was not disclosed to the public as the Delta State born minister declined to discuss the meeting when quizzed by newsmen.

He simply replied, ‘No comment’ when pressed by state house correspondents.

The meeting was expected to have discussed the leaked memo the minister wrote to the President accusing the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Maikanti Baru of corruption, among other things.

Also at about the same time, Kachikwu was meeting with the President, the Man at the center of the storm, Dr. Baru also met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Villa.

The NNPC GMD was seen leaving the VP’s office with an aide shortly after left the villa and headed straight to the mosque for Friday’s Jum’aat prayer.
