Again, Suspected Fulani herdsmen kill eleven people in Plateau

Chidi Samuel || The spates of killings in Plateau State continued on Tuesday as suspected Fulani herdsmen killed eleven people and injured four others who were returning from the market in Rim Village, Riyom local government Area of the State.

Mathew Tyopev, the Plateau State Police Command Public Relation Officer confirmed the number of casualties to newsmen on Wednesday.

Tuesday’s killings in Riyom attack is coming after the gruesome killing of about 29 people at Nkiye Dongwro in Miango of Bassa Local Government Area of the state three weeks ago by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

The recent upsurge in attacks by suspected herdsmen is a source of concern for the youths in the State who has called on the state government to follow the example of Benue State by banning open grazing in the state.
