Ebun Francis| Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday sent out a warm birthday message to her “sweetheart” on his 77th birthday, describing him as “incorruptible GMB”
In a message on her twitter handle @aishambuhari, the first lady also sought God’s guidance and protection on Buhari so he can steer the affairs of the country in good health.
She tweeted, “Happy Birthday to MY incorruptible GMB. I wish you Allah’s Guidance Protection and Good Health to continue steering the affairs of our dear nation. Long Live GMB Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
The use of her husband’s military title is apparently a dig at Punch Newspapers which recently said in an editorial piece that they will, going forward address the President as ‘GMB’, his military title as a protest against the invasion of Abuja high court by the DSS to arrest Omoyele Sowore, the leader of #RevolutionNow movement.
Also on Tuesday, family members, governors, cabinet ministers, and well-wishers also took to social media to congratulate the President.
