Coming under intense scrutiny by the voting public for her role in spear heading the unprecedented inflow of muslim immigrants into her country, German chancellor Angela Merkel called for a ban on full veils in the country, during a speech at her party’s conference on Tuesday. “The full veil is not appropriate here, it should be forbidden wherever that is legally possible. It does not belong to us,” The chancellor said at the Christian Democratic Union gathering, according to reports from several news outlets.
